Terms and Conditions

Your Terms and Conditions section is like a contract between you and your customers. You make information and services available to your customers, and your customers must follow your rules.


Common items in a terms and conditions agreement allow you to:

  • Withdraw and cancel services, and make financial transactions.
  • Manage customer expectations, such as liability for information errors or website downtime.
  • Explain your copyright rules, such as attribution, adaptation, commercial or non-commercial use, etc.
  • Set rules for user behavior, like forbidding unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying, promotions, spam, etc.
  • Disable user accounts.
  • Write down any other terms or conditions that protect you or your audience.

Return and Refund Policy

1. Bespoke & Made-to-Order ItemsAs each piece of art is [printed/framed/created] specifically to your order, I am unable to offer returns, exchanges, or refunds if you change your mind or if you have made an error in the ordering process (such as selecting the wrong size).

2. Faulty or Damaged GoodsI take great pride in the quality of my work, but if your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing fault, I will, of course, make it right.

  • Notification: Please notify me within 14 days of receiving your item at [Your Email].
  • Evidence: Please include photos of the damage and the packaging.
  • Resolution: If the fault is verified, I will provide a replacement at no extra cost to you. If a replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

3. CancellationsOnce an order has entered the [printing/production] phase, it cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel an order, please contact me immediately, and I will do my best to stop the process if it hasn't yet begun.

4. Digital DownloadsDue to the nature of digital files, digital art downloads are non-refundable once the download link has been accessed or sent.

Why this protects you:

  • No "Change of Mind" Returns: For a sole trader, having a customer return a giant, custom-framed print just because they "don't like the color" can be a financial disaster. This policy prevents that legally.
  • Damage Control: By asking for photos of the packaging, you protect yourself when claiming against the courier (like Royal Mail or Evri).
  • The 14-Day Window: Setting a timeframe for reporting damage ensures you aren't dealing with "faulty" claims six months later.


A Return and Refund policy usually consists of:

  • Terms of return (i.e. number of days)
  • State of return (e.g. unworn)
  • Reason for return (e.g. damaged or wrong product)
  • Process for return (i.e. how to initiate a return, how to contact customer service)
  • Process of refund (i.e. terms of refund, duration, payment details)
  • Contact details
